- January: Shareaholic named to Folio:’s list of Notable Technologies of 2014.
2014
- November: Backed by a fully redesigned algorithm and sophisticated new technology, the next generation of Shareaholic's content recommendation system is released.
- October: Shareaholic releases Shareaholic Promoted Content and raises $2.3 million to roll out a full suite of native advertisement monetization offerings for publishers.
- September: Shareaholic releases Affiliate Links.
- July: Shareaholic releases Social Follow Buttons.
- June: Shareaholic releases Shareable Images and Post-Share Engagement Tools.
- May: Shareaholic releases Floating Share Buttons with Social Share Counts.
- April: Shareaholic platform reaches over 400 million unique visitors per month.
- March: Shareaholic releases the Cookie Consent App.
- February: Official support added for the Drupal CMS platform.
2013
- November: Shareaholic platform reaches over 300 million unique visitors per month.
- February: Shareaholic moves into its spacious new world headquarters in downtown Boston on Kingston Street.
2012
- July: Raymie Stata, former CTO of Yahoo! formally joins as an advisor to Shareaholic. Shareaholic raises an oversubscribed Series A round.
- June: Shareaholic releases Recommendations for Publishers.
- May: Shareaholic's tools for publishers crosses 1.5 million downloads. Shareaholic Analytics released.
- March: Shareaholic named to MIT Technology Review's annual TR35 list as a company that will shape the future.
- January: Shareaholic platform reaches over 270 million unique visitors per month.
2011
- December: Shareaholic announces "Shareaholic Deals" with over 7,000 merchants offering 26,000+ deals and coupons at launch.
- November: Shareaholic reaches over 250 million unique visitors per month and launches tools for the Tumblr publishing platform.
- October: Records continue to be set! Shareaholic Publisher tools crosses 1.4 million downloads. Leading investors from Boston, New York and Silicon Valley make an investment in Shareaholic.
- June: Shareaholic Publisher tools crosses 1 million downloads and publisher network reaches over 200 million unique users per month for the very first time!
- January: Publisher tools are ranked as a top-5 plugin by WordPress and crosses 0.7 million downloads.
2010
- December: Shareaholic opens a world-class sister office in New Delhi, India and Shareaholic publisher tools cross 0.5 million downloads.
- October: Shareaholic's web browser tools cross 2 million downloads.
- March: Shareaholic acquires SexyBookmarks and releases publisher tools for the WordPress publishing platform.
2009
- December: Google announces Extension support for Google Chrome and features Shareaholic as a "Top Pick" on launch day!
- September: Leadings angel from Boston and New York invest in Shareaholic.
- August: Shareaholic, Inc, the company, is officially formed and headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- June: Browser tool crosses 1 million downloads.
- March: At Microsoft’s MIX09, Internet Explorer GM Dean Hachamovitch announces the release of Internet Explorer 8 and included Shareaholic in his keynote! It is certainly an honor, and we enjoy every minute of it.
2008
- February: As a "nights and weekends project" Shareholic wins the Grand Prize in Mozilla Foundation's Extend Firefox contest for the best Firefox add-on. This contest is judged by Garrett Camp (founder, StumbleUpon), Brendan Eich (CTO, Mozilla and creator of JavaScript), Jesse James Garrett (president, Adaptive Path), Tariq Karim (founder, NetVibes), and Joshua Schachter (founder, del.icio.us) based on excellence in user experience, innovativeness, and technical correctness.
