As you plan your editorial calendar for the year, there’s a lot you need to take into account: holidays, seasonal events related to your niche, personal goals, and of course events and conferences. Making a list of the calendar-based items that are important to you will help you hone the rest of your content for the year. Also, the advanced planning allows you to focus on producing high quality content and maximize the value of these annual milestones.
To help you get organized, we’ve made a list of the major events and conferences for bloggers throughout the year (in the U.S.), so you may incorporate ones to attend into your calendar. While we chose to list mostly larger, national events, there are often smaller meetups available near you. In Boston, for example, we have Blog Better Boston and Boston Bloggers, organizations which host events to educate and empower local bloggers, and develop a supportive community so you can grow personally and professionally.
We’ve also included a few excellent event roundups for those who want to take a deeper dive into niche events based on your location or category.
